Visualizing our Reading

While teaching TEKS 4.6.F, 4.7.E, 4.8.D, I had students read a passage using sensory details. Their task was to draw what they read. This helped my students to take these details into greater account when reading.

Learning about Circuits in the STEAM Center!

Collaboration is a HUGE part of our learning.

Reinforcing the lesson through small group helps my students with varying levels of understanding.

World Culture Day Display

In February 2023, My school held World cultures day in which my class researched an artist from Nigeria, Jimoh Buraimo. We made a display of our own work based on his work.

I use Whole Brain Teaching's Super Improver Wall for classroom management.

Parent communication is a large priority of mine. I believe Parents and educators must work together for the betterment of the student.

Students facilitate their own learning by inquiring and researching.

Being a team player is not only beneficial to me but also to my students. Modeling how to work with others is vital.

SEL- Spectrum of Emotion

The Health of my students is so important to me. This includes mental and emotional health. Today's children suffer tremendously from the lack of social awareness. In this SEL lesson I taught, students learned that emotions come in many shapes and sizes, but in order to help ourselves and others, we must understand and communicate our emotions. This emotion spectrum gives my visual learners a guide to their emotions through teh basics of color theory.
